Minister: Russia issues 43.8 mln full doses of COVID-19 vaccines

MOSCOW, Jul 16 (PRIME) -- Russia has produced and issued into civil circulation 43.8 million full doses of all vaccines against the COVID-19 coronavirus, Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov said on Friday at a meeting of the presidium of the coordination council for the fight against the coronavirus.

“As of today, 43.8 million full doses of all vaccines were issued into civil circulation. A contract for 30 million doses of the Sputnik V vaccine has been fulfilled largely due to the supply of 8 million doses by Generium under an additional agreement,” he said.

Thanks to the efforts of Russian pharmaceutical companies, sales of the Sputnik V vaccine soared to 20 million two-dose sets in April–June from 11 million sets in the previous quarter. The companies have formed the sales plans for July–September depending on their production capacities.

“In accordance with them, more than 10 million full sets of doses will be produced until the end of the month, and producers undertook the obligation to produce 57 million sets of the Sputnik V vaccine until October 1, which is three times more than in the previous three months,” Manturov said.
